Hastings Castle is a jewel in the crown of England’s historic past – It is an absolute must for those studying or anybody fascinated with History.

Our 20 minute film – ‘The 1066 story’ tells the incredible story of Britain’s first Norman Castle and it’s violent and turbulent past.  This site was the centre of a seismic shift in the direction of England; historically, politically, and culturally.

Wandering through the ancient castle grounds, explore the remains of the serene chapel and the haunting whispering dungeons, if you dare.

The rich and interesting history of Hastings Castle along with the unique views provide an interesting and memorable experience for people of all ages. With unrivalled views of Sussex, Hastings Castle is also the perfect spot for a picnic to complete your visit.

Excellent value for money, even more so when in conjunction with visits to Hastings Aquarium and Smugglers Adventure.

A self-guided tour around Hastings Castle along with an onsite 20-minute video film on the history of Hastings Castle and its often turbulent and violent past, along with entry into the whispering dungeons.

We accept groups from 15 people, up to 120.

There is an activity packet aimed at young children up to KS2 to make the day more interactive and captivating for them.

Groups are permitted to take photos and videos for their own use.

Risk assessments are available on request.

Group rates (15+ paying people) as of 22/23.  We will honour this price until the new rates are implemented in November.

There is a first aid box on site with a first aider based 5 minutes away at Smugglers Adventure.

Toilets on site for customers

Drinks are available to purchase from the admission hut.

Please note that Hastings Castle only accepts card payments.

Hastings Castle has a disabled toilet facility.

The attraction is based outside on gravel and grass, so it is up to the discretion of the group leader if it will be suitable for any guests with mobility issues.
