What are your school workshops like
E4K offers robotic and coding experiences for KS1-KS4. For KS1 and Lower KS2 we offer a variety of robot build, compete and battle experiences where students can build simple robots and then compete with the robots they have built. For Upper KS2 and Secondary students we offer more complex robot building experiences together with coding using both scratch based and text based coding languages. There are 2 specific programmes we offer to ensure students are ready for secondary school coding – a post SATs programme for Year 6s and a team building programme for Y7s which cover all the Upper KS2 coding objectives.
We provide a range of assessment tools so teachers can assess their students against these objectives.
Areas Visited
E4K will visit anywhere in the country but charge for an overnight stay if the journey is more than 2 hours.
What type of Curriculum/Keystage Workshops do you cover
E4K ensure that we communicate thoroughly with teachers so that we tailor our workshops to their students’ needs – below are a variety of different choices we offer.
KS2 Build and battle workshop (70 minutes) – students in groups of up to 60 are given a general introduction to robotics and what robots are used for. They build a simple 2 motor robot and use it on our arena to compete in ringmaster ( a type of robot football).
Upper KS2 and Lower KS3- coding challenge workshop (90 minutes) – students in groups of up to 30, code their robots to complete tasks of varying difficulties – this can be done in scratch based or text based language.
Upper KS2/ KS3- build and code workshop (half a day) – Students in groups of up to 30, build a more complex robot and code to complete tasks of varying difficulties – this can be done in scratch based or text based language.
KS1 and KS4 workshops available – these are tailored to the students individual needs – please contact our Centre for further details…
Group Sizes
We can cater for up to 60 in a single building workshop and 30 in a coding workshop – we can invite up to 90 to our Centre. In schools, we can deliver to up to 180 in a day building and 90 in a day coding.
Materials, Resources & Information Provided
We provide an excel assessment tool for all our Primary workshops which are closely linked to the D&T, science and coding National Curriculum statements we cover. Our robots are named after famous engineers and robots and we provide a “crib sheet” with information on all of these.

Prices vary and there are often early bird offers for science week, post SATs workshops and Year 7 teambuilding.
