Our workshop lessons are designed to bring maths, science, engineering and language to life and encourage skills in communication, collaboration, critical-thinking and problem solving. Discover the learning philosophy of LEGO Education in the thrilling atmosphere of LEGOLAND Discovery Centre, offering a wonderful balance of learning and fun!
The attraction is the ultimate indoor LEGO® playground, designed specifically for children aged 3-10 years to enjoy – everything is child sized!
There’s a 4D Cinema, Kingdom Quest Laser ride, Merlin’s Apprentice ride and lots of LEGO all under one roof!

Schools can choose to book a self-guided attraction visit, where students can enjoy all the fun of our 2 rides, numerous themed LEGO build zones and soft play areas, There’s also the option for self-guided learning, where suggested activities can be downloaded from our website to carry out on the visit and continue in the classroom.
For those looking for the most educational value, one of our LEGO Education workshops can be added to the visit. With workshops suitable for Early years, KS1 and KS2, we bring subjects such as English, science and coding to life with LEGO builds led by our expert team.

What is typically included on our school trips
Self-Guided visits with both the freedom of fun or suggested self-guided learning activities and staff led workshops catering for early years, KS1 and KS2 are available.
The attraction is all indoors and focuses on LEGO play. There’s 2 LEGO themed rides, soft play and adventure play zones for burning off energy, plus areas to build and get creative! You can build a LEGO car to race down the ramps, build a rocket in our Space Mission themed room, or get creative in our giant brick pits! You’ll also explore the landmarks of the North West in MINILAND, our LEGO city built from over 1.5 million bricks.
Our workshops are a great addition to a trip. Learn about balance by building a DUPLO seesaw in our key stage 1 workshop, or about weight and counterweight by building a LEGO technics catapult for key Stage 2. We’ve also teamed up with Raising Robots to provide a coding lesson on electric cars! Learn about how electric cars help the environment and code your unique vehicle to have lights, sounds and movement!

Materials, Resources & Information Provided
We offer the option to download suggested activities to do in the Centre which have educational value. Once the activity has been done in the classroom, the worksheets have continued learning possibilities for back in the school classroom.
Photography, Filming & Audio Restrictions
Photography and filming are allowed throughout the Centre, except on the 2 rides. There are no restrictions imposed by on the sharing of content.

Pricing Information
A visit between September and February costs £6 per person. Between March and August is £7.95 per person.
Workshops can be added to the visit for an additional £2.00 per child.
Schools get one free teacher for every 3 children under 5 years, and one free for every 10 children of primary and secondary age.
Clothing Requirements
No, sensible shoes are advised, this includes standard school shoes.

Available Facilities
There is a café located in the centre of the attraction.
Space can be provided for lunch, and schools are welcome to bring their own food and drink. A lunch space allocation must be requested at the time of booking and is subject to availability.
There are toilets, including an accessible toilet and a Changing Places area.
A merchandise shop is located at the end of the attraction that must be passed though to exit. The shop sells items such as LEGO sets, and keyrings etc.
Please note, the café and shop are cashless and require payment by card.
