What we offer on a school trip
The British Music Experience is the UK’s Museum of Rock and Pop Music. Boasting an unrivalled collection of memorabilia, stage outfits, instruments, images and footage, the museum charts the beginnings, rise and influence of British pop from 1945 to the present day.
The Museum includes galleries, interactive zones, audio visual experiences and hologram performances. You can get hands-on in the Gibson Interactive Studio by learning to play guitar, drums or keyboards. Try your hand at being a rock star by testing the vocal booth and dance your way through the eras in our Dance the Decades studio.
An education trip to the BME includes our interactive Pop Culture workshop and a tour of the galleries – both led by one of our Learning Crew. There is also time in our Gibson Interactive Studio where each student will have an opportunity to play a variety of instruments.

Testimonials
The British Music Experience is an excellent exhibition of British Music from 1900 to the present day. The student workshops are well-prepared and informative. The guided tour of the exhibition is excellent and really brings the exhibits to life for the students, and the concert stage experience really captured their imagination. Our students were particularly engaged and inspired by the Gibson interactive studio, and we had to prise them away from it! The workshops were particularly inspiring and engaged many aspects of the curriculum. We found all staff to be very friendly and helpful, tailoring our visit to the needs of our students and ensuring that all aspects of the visit ran smoothly. I thoroughly recommend this attraction to school parties
