What makes us a great choice for education
Our customers, including schools, are drawn to the National Motorcycle Museum for several unique reasons that make it a standout educational destination:
Exceptional Location and Transport Links
One of the highlights that schools appreciate is our strategic location. We are situated directly on the J6 island of the M42 motorway, opposite the NEC near Solihull in the West Midlands. This makes us extremely accessible for schools coming from various parts of the UK. Once you’re on the A45 and near the NEC and Airport, you’ll find highway brown signs that lead directly to us. The Sat Nav postcode is B92 0EJ, but we recommend following the brown signage when you’re close by.
Unparalleled Collection
We house an unparalleled collection of over 1,000 meticulously restored British motorcycles, with more than 850 available for viewing at any one time. This extensive display provides an in-depth educational experience, allowing students to delve into the realms of history, engineering, and technology.
Curriculum-Enriching Programs
Our museum goes beyond being a visual treat; it’s an educational hub where students can partake in interactive guided tours and hands-on workshops that align with curriculum topics in History, Engineering, and Design & Technology. This makes the trip academically enriching as well as enjoyable.
Convenient Amenities
Meal planning is simple with our food foyer and the option for pre-packed lunches for school trips. Teachers can therefore focus on the educational experience rather than logistical hurdles.
Museum Gift and Merchandise Shop
The gift shop is an additional attraction, offering a variety of keepsakes and educational tools. It’s a perfect stop for students to pick up mementoes that extend the learning and excitement beyond the day’s visit.
Accessible Parking
Our ample and free parking, with overflow options for busy days and designated spots for those with accessibility needs, takes the hassle out of arrival and departure logistics.
